Absence

We prefer if our parents notify the office of their child's absence. Often the information does not get to the office in a timely manner if left on the teacher's voicemail or in your child's agenda.

Parents can additionally report student absences by email at: lakeshore@cbe.ab.ca.

In your message please the leave the following details:

  • Student first and last name
  • Teacher
  • Classroom
  • Duration of absence
  • The reason why

Lunchtime Absence

All messages for the lunchroom should be directed to the lunchroom line 403-817-3440 x.1

Extended Absence

We ask that you send a note in advance to the office indicating the first and last day of your child's extended absence. Any homework requests should be directed to the individual teacher. Please note that teachers will require preparation time.

Temporary/Change of Guardian

If the child's guardian has changed, or the primary guardian will be absent for a period, we need to know. We ask that you contact the office with names and numbers in writing. Please note that we cannot release a child to anyone without your authority.
