Giving to Our Community

Students Work With Seniors in the Community

Mar. 19, 2018

Through the LINKages program at Lord Beaverbrook, coordinated by Ms. D. McIntosh, students spend time each Friday after school at a local senior citizens centre. The students and seniors have cribbage matches, and share stories puzzles, crafts, and snacks. To celebrate St. Patrick's Day, one of the students-Charly Archibald, together with her dance school, provided Irish dance entertainment in their special costumes. The Chinese New Year was celebrated with student Brandon Mah leading the charge with his lion. The students and seniors thoroughly enjoy their time together!
