School Supply Lists

All students are required to have a backpack and lunch bag (if applicable). Backpacks should be large enough to hold a large picture library book. Indoor running shoes are brought to school the first day and left at school. Many backpacks and shoes look alike; please completely label all student items. Individual school supplies will be provided.

School Hug n' Go and Staff Parking Lot

Please note that the parking lot is not available for visitor/volunteer/parent parking. For safety reasons, DO NOT use the staff parking lot to drop-off or pick-up children. We ask that you refrain from parking in the parking lot. The parking lot is only accessible to CBE employees as staff members pay for the privilege of accessing assigned parking, and they arrive at various times throughout the day.

There are two lanes, one for short term stopping for drop off and one to drive through and/or pass by stopped cars. Please note that all families using the Hug n' Go drive through are asked to be respectful during both drive through and stopping. This is NOT an area for long time parking. Parking for student drop off and pick up will be available before school start and before school dismissal along Mahogany Way SE.

Lunch Supervision

Mahogany School offers a four-day (Monday – Thursday) noon supervision program for students in Grades 1-4 from 11:50am-12:28pm. Students bring their own lunches and are supervised both while they eat lunch and while they play outside. No microwave or hot water services are available. We are hoping the Milk program will be able to start up in October and forms will be sent home in September. Registration and fee payment for this program is required. Noon Supervision begins on the first day of school.

Registrations are submitted online using MyCBE.

Assigned Teachers

Your child's teacher will contact you on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. At this time, teachers will also share more specific information about their assigned morning meeting spot. Please be patient when waiting for their email. All students will have a designated entrance door and will meet their teachers outside on the school grounds on the first day of school.

Registration for volunteering in the classroom/field trips must be done at the school office, please bring two pieces of Government I.D. (1 must be picture ID) All volunteers are required to have a CBE Police Clearance.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2022-23 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

More information about 2022-23 transportation service levels and proposed fees are posted on the CBE website.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.
