Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular activities allow our students to pursue passions and interests that fall outside the normal curriculum. These activities can include special interest clubs, arts, music and athletics. Our school is proud to offer a variety of extracurricular opportunities that enhance our students' learning experiences.

Extracurricular

Events

Muffin Mixer - September 6 8:45 - 9:10

Join us for a muffin, a juice or coffee and casual conversation before school.  This is a great opportunity to get to know teachers a bit more and to network with other parents.

Sports Day - September 6, 9:30 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.

Students will participate in physical activity events soon after the Muffin Mixer. Since this is the 50th Anniversary of Marion Carson School, we are creatively relating them all to the themes 50 or the attributes of Marion Carson who the school is named after.

Terry Fox Run Day - A Toonie for Terry - September 25

Our annual run will be held on the same day as thousands of other schools across Canada will hold theirs.  Thanks to the Grade 4s for leading the assembly just prior to the run! We collected an amazing $2312.72! Yippee, Marion Carson!!!

Orange Shirt Day - September 30

Wear your orange shirt to remember that all children matter and to learn from mistakes made in our Canadian past.

Swimming - October 29 - November 28

Swimming Schedule for Kindergarten - Grade 4s - Tuesdays and Thursday.  Click on the schedule to your right under Resources.
