There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. For more information on ways to give to CBE, visit Donate on the CBE website.

Fundraisers & Donations

Current Marion Carson Parent Association Fundraisers

Marion Carson Parent Association is excited to announce that we are running a Christmas campaign with Purdys Chocolate. We are fundraising towards building our Naturalization project and our goal this year is to raise $2500! We are hopeful that we can receive a grant that will double our efforts towards this project.

Purdys profit levels for this campaign are between 5% and 25% depending on how large the total order placed is. Our goal is to have an order over $1000 to earn the 25% profit cheque.

Purdys has decided to go as paperless as possible so we have limited quantities of catalogues which teachers can give to students upon request. However, the Christmas Campaign Catalogue can be accessed via our personal shopping link. Simply choose “Marketplace” option when shopping to see images of all the products. Click the link below and enter your email address to join our campaign.

Once you create your own account you should have a personalized shopping link in the upper lefthand side of your screen that you can share with friends, family, coworkers, etc.

Marion Carson Parent Association

The Jacket Racket campaign will once again run through the months of October and November.

Jacket Racket is a volunteer organization with the goal of ensuring that every child from Kindergarten to Grade 12 has a warm winter coat to wear to school.

90% of the donations come from coat drives held through Calgary schools.  The jackets are then distributed to children in schools where there is a need.

They accept clean and gently used winter jackets, fleece jackets, snow pants, hats and mittens for all ages. Please put your donated items in a bag.

A box will be setup in the foyer for collection from October to November 15, 2021.

We encourage you to generously support this worthy project.  It is a great opportunity to help students who may be less fortunate.

It would be greatly appreciated if there is a parent volunteer available to deliver donations collected by our school to the Jacket Racket Center.  The Jacket Racket Center (with direct access for deliveries) is located at Bay 3737 of the St Brother Andre Center at : 3743 64 Ave SE, Calgary, Ab T2C 2V5

Cheque Writing Campaign

Cheque Writing Campaign – It is that time again when we are requesting donations to our school in lieu of multiple fund raising activities. In the past parents asked that we try to ask for donations so that all funds go to our school instead of to another organization making profits from goods they are selling. On the linked document you will see the list of items purchased this past year and the plans for the upcoming year. This is strictly voluntary and we request that if you make a donation that it be within the means of your family's budget. In order to reduce costs, we are sending the form explaining the program through this email. Please contact Mrs. Cinnamon ( by email if you would like a paper copy sent home. Please click the link to see the form.
