​​​​​​Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) are part of a balanced, broad-based program of student assessment for Grades 6 and 9 students. The results provide some of the information that guides our educators as they set targets for student achievement and track the results of school improvement initiatives. Visit the CBE website for more information on our students’ provincial testing​.

​Teachers will remain focused on delivering the programs of study for all courses and will continue to assess student achievement based on the grade level outcomes as determined by the Government of Alberta.​​​​​​​

PATs Parent Guides

Parent Guides for the provincial achievement tests to be written in May/June 2018 can be found on the Education Alberta website. 

These Parent Guides give details on the achievement tests and the curriculum details for each subject area. The website also provides a 10 minute streaming video resource to explain to parents why these tests are needed.  

Please advise our office if you require a hard copy of these guides.
