Homework
CBE regulations state: ”every encouragement shall be given to pupils (and parents) to set aside some regular time each evening for home study.” Amount of time varies from 5-19 minutes in Division I to 20 minutes in Division II.
At Marion Carson School, all students are encouraged to be involved in daily reading at home. The amount of other homework varies from grade to grade and teacher to teacher. Typical assignments may include weekly spelling list, math drills, unfinished class work and project work. Homework assignments will be recorded in the student’s daily agenda (Grade 1 – 6) and in some cases on D2L (ask your child’s teacher for this information).
