Learning Commons at the CBE

Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.

Borrowing Rules

Students have the opportunity to visit the learning commons to sign out books each week. Students can sign out up to two books at a time. Please check with your child's teacher for more library time/book exchange information.

Our Learning Commons

Our Learning Commons fosters life-long learning and is an integral part of our education program. Children are encouraged to browse and select materials at their level, care for them properly, and return or renew them on time. We do not charge for overdue materials, however, students are held accountable for lost or damaged books.

Students may choose from a wide range of learning resources for assignments and personal interest including: reference, fiction and nonfiction print materials, audio-visual materials, magazines and newspapers, online databases, Internet access, CBE student email accounts and various educational software.
