Gym Procedures
Students are required to change for P.E. classes and are required to wear grey and black. When students wear school colours teachers are able to visually identify them. Having students dress the same enhances and builds school culture.
Outdoor P.E. Classes
Many students will participate in PE classes outside. Students should dress for the weather. Students are encouraged to have a hoodie, sweat pants, raincoat, outdoor shoes for participating outside.
Lockers / Locker rooms
Students need to provide their own lock to use a gym locker for their P.E. period only. There are a limited number of lockers so locks left on lockers for more than one period will be removed. The school is not responsible for lost or stolen items so please don’t bring valuables into locker rooms. Cell phones are not permitted in change rooms.
Injury or Illness
Students will be excused from P.E. if they have a note from parent or guardian. Any student who is to be excused from P.E. for more than 3 classes may require a note from a medical professional explaining the injury and the duration the student will need to be excused. An alternate assignment(s) may be required.
