Important Dates

We follow the CBE Traditional Calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.

The Alberta Government announced on July 21 that schools will be in Scenario 1 as of Sept. 1, 2020.

The CBE's 2020-21 re-entry plan is subject to change as more information becomes available from the province. We will continue to update schools with more details during the next school year.

You can find the COVID Self-Assessment Tool (daily checklist) in the Government Resources section on the CBE website.

Staggered Entry

We will be staggering the times and days when students attend over the first two days. This will allow us to work through our re-entry plans and to make adjustments in a more agile way.  It will also allow us to more closely connect and attend to the needs of students.

(Note: Students in our TASC and ACCESS classes will attend for the full days beginning on Tuesday, September 1)

Home Room Lists / Assigned Teachers

Student home room lists with names will be posted outside on the first day so that students can easily find their home room teacher.

Teachers will be connecting with all parents by the end of Monday via phone to introduce themselves and to confirm attendance days, meeting locations and entrance points.

Drop-Off Locations

Please review the image below for drop off locations and meeting areas for each grade.

School Supplies

We also wanted to remind parents that this year school supplies will be provided for students and parents will be charged through their MyCBE / PowerSchool account.   This includes paper, binders, pens etc. It would be most helpful if students arrived with a backpack, water bottle and lunch/snack.

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and noon supervision

  • View student progress
