Blue Day Procedures
It is important that your child always has outdoor clothes appropriate for the weather. Children will be expected to wait outside before school in the morning and at lunch unless weather is -20 or below. During extreme cold or other inclement weather situations, students will enter the building on arrival and proceed directly to their classrooms (students should not arrive at school before 7:50 AM). Look for the blue signs on each door advising of inclement weather. In extreme cold weather only, please access the school by the nearest entry door. Teachers will be available to supervise at these times. Please remind your child to take all mitts, hats, boots and gloves with them to their classrooms.
Students are expected to go outside during snack and lunch recess and at lunch time unless the weather is too severe (below -20 C with wind chill). Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day.
