Ways to Get Connected

Teachers communicate with parents/guardians of students around progress, attendance and social/emotional well-being in an ongoing manner and in a variety of ways. Parents can expect to be advised of any significant issue that is occurring with their child and can expect to hear from their child’s teacher prior to the first day of classes. Teachers will return phone messages and email messages within 24 hours of receiving them.

School Messenger is used to communicate en-mass. For parents to receive email and text messages from the school they need to subscribe online. Information on how to subscribe is available in the main office or by visiting the Nellie McClung website

Messages can be sent to parents of students in a particular class, grade or homeroom. For now, messages can only be sent in English. Messages that are not time-sensitive will be sent between 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
