COVID Measures for Illness

Before entering the school each day, students will be required to complete the Alberta Health Services COVID-19 Self- Assessment or the CBE Self Screening Form. If you have said yes to any of the questions, please remain at home and call 811 to contact Alberta Health Services for further information.

If you become ill at school, you will be directed to the school's infirmary. You will be asked to wait there until your parents are called to pick you up.

Reporting an Absence

It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-817-3500 ext. 1.

Sudden Illness

The school is not permitted to dispense any medication to students. If a student becomes ill and is unable to attend class, the student should report to the Main Office where home contact will be made to arrange with parents/guardians for the student to return home or seek medical attention.

Forms

Student Health Emergency Response Protocol Form
This form is to be used when there is a student health issue regarding attention. This includes when there is a request to administer medication. 

Student Health Plan

This form is to be:

• completed if a physical or medical condition may affect the student’s attendance at school
• completed if medication is to be taken at school,
• reviewed and updated annually or sooner if there is a change in the student’s health concern or school registration.
