You have to start somewhere, and the Nelson Mandela Football team is starting a tradition that will last a generation. Every single grade 10 that comes out to play for the football team next year is going to instantly be part of something greater than themselves.

“I am so proud of every one of these players. You can tell when people care, and these players care. When we lose, we are angry. We are angry because we feel football, and we understand why this is important. The maturity of how these players and how they’ve grown and been resilient has been amazing . At the end of the day there will be people angry simply because we didn’t win, but our best players will be angry because they know they can be better.”
