Effective Communication
Communication between school and home is both formal (through electronic newsletters and notices, report cards, and parent/teacher conferences) and informal (through phone calls, notes and electronic agendas). We encourage on-going communication between home and school. Please feel free to call the school about any issues you wish to discuss with either teachers or administration.
The more we communicate, the better we can understand and provide for your children's needs. Your first point of contact for any issues regarding your child needs to be directed to the classroom teacher. Many concerns can be addressed through clarifying and direct communication.
Discussions about your child require thoughtfulness and adequate time. Please refrain from trying to have those conversations during entry and dismissal times when staff are beginning the instructional day or ensuring all students are dismissed safely. The school administration will gladly make time to discuss any issue you feel is important. By making an appointment with either teachers or school administration you will be assured of adequate time for a thoughtful discussion.
