Update | Illness in Schools
Dear NBS Families,Welcome to the start of another great year at New Brighton School. On behalf of our entire staff, I would like to welcome back all of our returning families and those who are new to our school this year. The staff has been in the last week of August working on getting the school set up and ready for students. The restful summer has brought with it renewed energy and enthusiasm and we are all looking forward to getting the school year started. We hope your summer and time spent with the family have created a new set of fond memories and experiences that your child will be eager to share with us. It will be our mission to carry on and build those experiences and create a year's worth of celebrations and events that will inspire and engage all of your children. Our student enrollment has increased over the summer, with the addition of grade five in our school as well we have had some families move away which allowed for us to call back students from our waitlist. This had us welcoming quite a few new faces to our school community as well as seven new staff members. We are thrilled to see the new faces and to get some of our local families back into their community school. We look forward to meeting all our parents and guardians on September 22 and 23 for our Parent Teacher Conferences which are very important conferences to attend in that it allows families to share information with teachers about their children and to establish positive, essential relationships between home and school that promote learning. More information will come home closer to those dates. In closing, we wish you all the best as we embark on another exciting year of learning and exploring. SincerelyPatrick Murphy
