Allergies

Nut Free School

We have children at our school who are allergic to nuts and related nut products. Parents must indicate any special health concerns on the school registration for their child and are encouraged to ensure classroom teachers are also aware of health issues.

Student Health Plan

Please inform us if your child requires a Student Health Plan. The Student Health Plan form should be:

• completed if a physical or medical condition may affect the student’s attendance at school;
• completed if medication is to be taken at school;
• reviewed and updated annually or sooner if there is a change in the student’s health concern.

Niitsitapi Learning Centre Wellness Clinic

Supporting our Indigenous Families Access Health Care

The Calgary Board of Education with Niitsitapi Learning Centre, in partnership with Alberta Health Services with Elbow River Healing Lodge have a Wellness Clinic on site for students, parents, and extended family members. A First Nation's Physician is on site in the clinic bi-weekly for consultation by appointment. 

Through the generosity of funders including The Calgary Foundation, and in partnership with Education Matters we aim to improve access, focus on health promotion and prevention, screening, and early intervention to reduce inequity for Indigenous students and families.
