How to Register

For more information about how to register your First Nations, Métis or Inuit child, contact the Niitsitapi Learning Centre (NLC) at niitsitapilearningcentre@cbe.ab.ca or 403-817-3404.

Bring the completed NLC registration form, your child’s proof of age and legal name (birth certificate or passport) and proof of your address (we may ask to see one or more of the following: driver’s licence, municipal/federal correspondence, financial/residential documents or a utility bill) to the school.

Registration forms will be accepted at the Niitsitapi Learning Centre office.

Once your child has been registered, you will be able to access your My CBE Account. This online account lets you register for services and pay fees.

What School is Next and Transferring Between CBE Schools

Every CBE student has a designated school based on their home address. When you transition from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school, you will be automatically registered at your designated school according to your home address. To find your designated school, use our Find a School tool.

If you are interested in attending a school other than your designated school, visit the Transferring Between CBE Schools webpage for transfer information. Please note that some schools are quite full and not able to accept all transfer requests.
