Medicine Garden

Students learn how to take care of their classroom garden.  "We need to take care of Mother Earth because she takes care of us."  A strong relationship to the land is fostered, as is a strong connection to Na'a and the Creator.  Our students learn to become caretakers, not takers, of the land.

We are fortunate to be growing traditional medicines such as sage, sweetgrass and tobacco.   Students learn about the protocols, stories and traditions of the medicines.  They also learn about the harvesting process and seed collection.
