Classes & Departments

The Niitsitapi Learning Centre opened for EDC/Preschool, Kindergarten and Grade 1 students in September 2016. The program grew to add Grade 2 in the 2017-2018 school year and Grade 3 in the 2018-2019 school year. The following school years, including the 2019-2020 school year will only offer EDC/Preschool to Grade 2.

EDC/Preschool classes are offered as half-day programs, and the Kindergarten to Grade 2 programs are offered as full day.

Curriculum is outlined in the Alberta Programs of Study, which identifies what students are expected to learn and do in all subjects and grades.  Curriculum delivery includes both western and traditional knowledges and culturally appropriate tasks for holistic learning opportunities.
