School Council

North Haven School Council and the North Haven Parent Association both consist of volunteer parents, school administration and teacher representatives. These groups assist in making school at North Haven an enjoyable experience for all students.

The purpose of the School Council is to assist the school and staff in programs and activities meeting the needs of all students. They help establish communications between home and school. The Parent Association is responsible for school fundraising activities throughout the year

About Our School Council

Council meetings are an excellent vehicle to enable the principal to share his/her vision of the school, and the specific activities or initiatives s/he plans to undertake during the current and future school years to meet this vision. The meetings are very informal and everyone in attendance is given ample opportunity to share their views and opinions. Consider attending council meetings to help advise administration on the direction of the school.

Meeting Dates/Schedule

School Council meets once a month. Meetings are at North Haven School, and take place at 6:30 PM. We welcome parents and guardians of children attending the school, individuals from communities served by the school, and members of the school’s academic staff. We love to see new faces!

Dates of upcoming meetings are on our Calendar page.
