Music News

For the past few weeks, students have been exploring rhythm through repeating patterns, composing rhythm patterns, rhythm dictation and improvising. All classes are currently applying their rhythm knowledge to create compositions on percussion instruments. Division 2 students will soon begin the handbell unit, and division 1 students will also have the opportunity to learn with colour handbells!

Choir News

We have had a fantastic start with both of our choirs! A reminder for families that both Division 1 and Division 2 choirs will be performing in the Winter Concerts in December, which will be in the afternoon of Wednesday December 11th at 1:30 pm and in the evening of Thursday December 12th at 6:30 pm.  Please mark these dates on your calendar. Please visit the music page on our school website for access to videos and lyrics that students can use to practice with at home. Thank you!
