​Dear OSG Families, 
We are excited to welcome Ashley Temple, who will join the grade ¾ teaching team. Due to an increase in enrolment, it has become necessary to add this additional classroom to reduce class sizes.  Last week at OSG, students and staff engaged in many meaningful learning opportunities to honour National Truth and Reconciliation week and day. This included a daily school wide Land Acknowledgement shared by grade 5 students, the creation of a timeline illustrating the history of residential schools and sharing circles focused on reconciliation.  As we move into October, staff and students are busy and focused on learning using the new Alberta curriculums for Mathematics, PE and Wellness and English Language Arts and Literature (ELAL). Grades K-3 are also beginning the first year of the new K-3 Science curriculum.
