We follow the CBE modified calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.

Back to School Information

First Day of Classes

Our first day of classes is August 15, 2022 and the school office is open to parents on August 10, 2022 with modified hours.

More information regarding the first day of school will be emailed to all families prior to the first day of classes.

Kindergarten

Kindergarten classes begin on  August 15, 2022.  Please meet your teacher at the South entrance.

The first 3 days of classes we will have a staggered entry as follows: 

August 15, 2022 – 1-hour time slots
August 16, 2022 – 1 1/2 hour time slots
August 17, 2022 – 2 hour times slots

August 18, 2022 - Full day schedule following the regular school hours. 

Information regarding which time slot your child will attend, was given to you at registration or will be emailed to Kindergarten families in August prior to classes starting.  if you do not have your child's start time, please call the main office.

School Start & End Times

Our bell times are 8:20am-12:00pm and 12:49pm-3:13pm (Monday – Thursday)
8:20am-12:00pm (Friday)

School Supplies

School supplies are ordered at the school level and all supplies will be provided for your child. 

Students will only need a lunch kit and indoor shoes for Phys. Ed.

ISSP will be providing backpacks for all of our children at the start of the school year.

Lunch Supervision

We will continue to receive the support of ISSP (Integrated School Support Program).  Hot lunch will be available on a daily basis.  All students are able to partake in the lunch if they wish.

Lunch supervision fees will be assigned at the beginning of the school year.  Families are asked to contact the school if there are concerns with these fees once they have been issued in the Fall of 2022.

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

​​​​Do You Have a MyCBE Account? Have You Added Your Child(ren) To the Account?

Parents / Legal Guardians / Independent Students who have not already done so, must create a MyCBE account and add their child(ren) to the account to:

  • access your child’s program information (e.g., course assessments, daily attendance record, report card)
  • view your child’s learning using Brightspace by D2L
  • pay fees and request waivers
  • register for transportation and lunch ​supervision
  • book parent-teacher conferences
  • submit online school forms (required for 2022-23 school year)

You will need your email address on file at the school as well as your child’s CBE ID, which can be found on the:

  • SchoolEngage student profile, for families that registered their child using SchoolEngage.
