Penbrooke Meadows at a Glance

  • 11% of our students have self-identified their families as Indigenous Learners
  • 30% of our population has been identified as Special Education Students
  • 45% of our student population is identified as English Language Learners
  • 27  languages including English are spoken by students and/or their families who attend our school
  • We house numerous extra curricular program via various community agencies.
  • We have a free Breakfast Program sponsored by Fuel for School, PC Nutritional Grant and Meals on Wheels. This program is designed to provide a healthy breakfast for students. 
  • Noon hours/Lunchroom supervision - paid for service option
  • We are part of Team Giordano which inspires students to set challenging goals for themselves as well as provides us with opportunities for field trips, residencies, supplies for visual arts, physical education, drama productions etc.
  • Division II LEAD classes (2 classrooms - Literacy Education Academic Development)

The CBE is the largest school district in Western Canada. Our mission is to ensure each student, in keeping with his or her individual abilities and gifts, completes high school with a foundation of learning necessary to thrive in life, work and continued learning.
