Principal's Message

Principals Post November

Dear Families,
Please check the Penbrooke News Centre for school events and important dates. The following three important documents are posted on our School Website.
Report to Parents/Guardians on Fees 2020 – 2021
School Improvement Results Report 2020 – 2021
School Development Plan 2021 – 2022
With the holiday season approaching and the continuation of COVID-19 health and safety restrictions, we ask that you refrain from sending treats, baked goods and/or store purchased food items for your child to share with their classmates. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept these items and will return them to you.
Penbrooke Meadows adheres to the Calgary Board of Education nutrition policy. This policy ensures that all food choices provided by the school, establish an environment that is safe, caring and conducive to learning. It is important that we respond to a variety of food and health concerns such as sensitivity to food and nut allergies, cultural restrictions and unknown food additives that may impact student health.
We appreciate your understanding and support to ensure that as a community, the health and safety of all of our students remains a priority.
Penbrooke Meadows is committed to practicing open communication with our families and school community.  Teachers communicate through email, telephone calls, face to face conversations, School Messenger and Google Classroom. When school wide communication is necessary, the school communicates through School Messenger, Notes/Letters home to Parents and our school website.
We encourage you to contact your child's teacher should you have any questions or concerns.  If you need to speak with administration, please call the school office to book an appointment to speak with administration.  Our goal is to provide the best possible learning experience for your child.  As partners in education, we can do this effectively with your involvement, your feedback and your voice.
Sincerely,
Karon Hayes                           Kim MacLeod Principal                                  Assistant Principal
