Cell Phones

While we understand the reasoning behind children having cell phones on their way to and from school, we cannot permit their use during school hours. Cell phones must be turned off during school hours and must either be kept in the student’s backpack or be given to the teacher for safekeeping. Any cell phone features and applications are not to be used at school. If students need to contact parents during school hours permission must be obtained from the child’s teacher to use the school phone. Cell phones must also be kept in backpacks or coat pockets on the way into and out of the school. Students not adhering to these rules for the use of cell phones will have them taken away. Students are not to use cell phones for any purpose during school hours.

Electronic Games and iPods

We expect that students will NOT bring electronic games and iPods to school. These often get broken or get misplaced. The school cannot take responsibility for these items. If lost, it is up to the student to look for the item during non-class time with the support of a family member.
