Today’s learners cannot imagine life without the internet and supporting technology. The concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.​​​

Learning Commons Transformation

As a recipient of a Education Matters Grant, we have transformed our library into a Learning Commons. We have implemented a Makerspace within the Learning Commons that promotes interdisciplinary learning in the facets of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. It also inspires collaboration, innovation, and creativity in our students, making learning authentic.

Calgary Public Library - Summer Challenge

This summer, join the Calgary Public Library for over 500 FREE science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math programs from over 40 community partners — plus a chance at awesome prizes. Kids, families, and teens can register for Ultimate Summer Challenge online or at any Library starting May 15. Spend July and August reading as much as you can, tracking your reading and Library time on a challenge map, and visiting libraries to take part in amazing programs.
