Lost & Found
Please take the time to label personal items to assist us with returning lost items to students. The lost and found will be cleared each Monday and bagged. Staff will check for labels. If it has a clear label then it will not be bagged. It will be returned. The bags will be kept until the end of the month and then donated. It is our goal to assist all students with locating items daily and avoid a growing lost and found collection.
Bicycles, Scooters, Skateboards & Heelys
We certainly encourage active living practices with children such as riding a bicycle to school. Upon arrival at the school and for the safety of all students, cyclists are expected to walk bicycles on school grounds during school hours. When bicycles are brought to school they should be locked in the bicycle rack provided. Helmets are required for bikes for children in Alberta and highly recommended for scooters and skateboards.
Make arrangements for parking scooters and skateboards in classrooms or near the office. We avoid hallways near classrooms due to tripping concerns. Bikes, scooters and skateboards are not allowed on the ramp or front stair and entrance at any time.
The school cannot be responsible for students' damaged or stolen property while they are at school.
Personal Electronic Devices
Our school has a Digital Citizenship plan and an Acceptable Use Policy that addresses the appropriate use of electronic devices at school. Students who disregard this policy will have that device confiscated and returned at the end of the day to either the student or his/her parent.
