Fall Sports Update
As school sports start up again there is still much uncertainty with regards to rising COVID numbers and what that could mean. Right now we are planning to go ahead with athletics unless directed otherwise. Coaches and athletes will be expected to follow protocol set out by the CBE.
Students interested in joining the junior high cross-country team this season need to see Mr. Leighton in the PE office as practices will start the week of Sept. 7th – 10th.
This year QE will only be running senior teams (boys and girls) and will be open for students in grades 7 to 9. Information with regards to tryouts will be coming out shortly. See Dean Farrell in the PE office for more information.
Basketball tryouts will not be starting until January.
Students interested in joining the high school cross-country team need to see Mr. Richmond in the PE office to sign up. All abilities welcome.
This year QE will only be running varsity teams (boys and girls) and will be open for students in grades 10 to 12. High school students interested in playing volleyball need to come to the PE office for information as tryouts are beginning shortly.
Students interested in playing football this season will be joining the team at William Aberhart High School. Students can also come to the PE office for information as practices are underway.
Practices for the swim team will be starting in October. Practices will run Tuesday and Thursday mornings and Queen Elizabeth Athletes will be practicing with the William Aberhart High School team. Please come to the PE office for more information.
