Student Council at Ramsay School

 When students have an opportunity for agency and voice, their engagement and well-being increases. At Ramsay School, we host a Grades 4-6 Student Council. Students complete an expression of interest to join the Student Council at the start of the year. Students then brainstorm a list of ways that they believe they can improve their school community (or the greater community) and choose a few projects to engage in over the course of the year. Students join because they enjoy listening to the ideas of others, sharing their own ideas, supporting leadership actions and are driven by generous and responsible citizenship. Typically, the Student Council meets over the lunch hour every week. Please see here for past projects completed:
