Dear Ramsay School Families,
Thank you for making last week so successful for our students and teachers. We recognize that having students learning from home can be challenging and we appreciate your support and commitment to supporting its success. We all look forward to having students back at school, learning with, and from each other in person. We are returning to in-person classes according to the direction of the provincial government and Chief Medical Officer of Health. If students are ill, in quarantine or isolating, we will continue to support them through Google Classroom. We remind everyone entering a CBE school must monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. The Alberta Health daily checklist can be found here. Please complete the checklist each day prior to attending school.
Hub Students Returning to In-Person Learning
We are excited to welcome back students and families to in-person learning on February 1st. CBE is working to support all students who will remain in Hub for the second term and more information will be forthcoming. All students returning to Ramsay will continue to receive information from CBE, myself as well as their newly assigned classroom teacher in the coming weeks.
The Land as Our Teacher & Learning Space
COVID-19 has changed the way we learn at school, and one of the ways in which teachers have supported the well-being of students and increased academic engagement is by using the land as our teacher, and a learning space. I encourage you to view work here that reflects K-6 teaching and learning at Ramsay School throughout the months of September – December through this lens. We are truly lucky to live in such a dynamic and historical community.
