Attendance Line: 403-777-6350 extension 1

Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all students. Parents are requested to inform the school if they will be absent.

  • Please spell the last name of the student, first name and the homeroom the student is in.
  • Please call the attendance line before 8:30 AM.
  • A note can also be sent with the student if they will be absent or late. An explanation of the absence is required.

Our SchoolMessenger program is one way we ensure the safety of students. This system will contact parents at home or at work if a student is absent and we have not been informed by 9:00 AM. If you receive a call from School Messenger please call the school to clarify your child’s absence.

We believe it is important to arrive at school on time and be prepared for class. Students who arrive late are asked to report to the office for a late slip before heading to class, otherwise a phone call may be made to report the student
absent. Late slips should be given to the classroom teacher.

Appointments During the School Day

Please notify the office when students are required to leave for medical, dental, or other appointments. For safety and security, students must not leave the school during class time until parents have signed them out using the sign-out book located outside of the office.

Chronic Absenteeism

Chronic absenteeism or lates will be followed up by school administration and referrals made to the attendance officer if appropriate.

Our school utilizes SchoolMessenger which is an automated messaging system. Messages are regularly sent out by email or telephone using this system to inform families of important events and provide timely information. The automated call system is also used to contact families about unexplained absences. It is important that the school has up to date telephone numbers and email addresses in order that these messages are successfully delivered.
