It is important that you call the school if your child is absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-6350. See more on our Attendance page.
Allergies
Parents are asked to notify their child’s teacher of any severe allergies. The Student Health Plan Form for students with severe allergies is kept in a central location and shared on a need to know basis. We are a peanut allergy aware school. Please refrain from sending items containing peanuts or other nuts for lunches and snacks.
Medications
Common medications such as Tylenol or Polysporin are not available at school. Should students require staff assistance with personal medications, a parent consent form must be on file. Consent forms must be renewed annually or when instructions change. Authorization to administer medication cannot be accepted over the phone.
Student Illness
In fairness to all, please do not send your child to school if there are definite signs of ill health. We have neither the facilities nor the personnel to care for sick children.
Children who become ill during the day are to go directly to their teacher. Our policy is to get sick children home as soon as possible. Our practice will be to call parents and ask that students be picked up. If we are unable to contact a parent an alternate emergency person should be listed on the student information sheet. When picking up a sick child from school, please check in with the office staff and sign your student out.
In the event that staff deems a student’s medical condition requires emergency care, an ambulance will be called. Please make sure we have current cellular and home/business phone numbers.
