First Day of Classes

Our first day of classes is Thursday, September 1, 2022 and the school office is open to parents on August 29, 30 and 31 2022.

The first two days of classes for kindergarten will have a staggered entry schedule. For details of your child’s schedule, please contact the school office. Regular classes for kindergarten will begin on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

On September 1, 2022 at 9:07 most of our staff will be outside on the field to meet students and families.  Classroom teachers will be holding a sign with their grade number to help their students locate them.

Unless you are registering a child for school, we ask that you avoid calling or coming to the office until the afternoon on the first day of school, since staff will be very busy. If your child is unsure of where to go or you have questions, please look for school staff outside before classes begin.  School Council will have a booth set up to welcome parents, answer questions and share coffee and a snack with the adults once your children have located their teacher.

School Start and End Times

Our bell times are:

Grade 1 – 6 Monday through Thursday 9:07am – 3:50pm
Grade 1 – 6 Friday 9:07am – 1:20pm

AM Kindergarten Monday through Thursday 9:07am – 12:14pm

PM Kindergarten Monday through Thursday 12:43pm – 3:50pm

There is NO school for Kindergarten students on Fridays.

Students supplies are provided by the school for children in kindergarten through grade 6. Students are responsible for having a backpack, one pair of indoor shoes to stay at the school, and their snack and/or lunch each day plus a water bottle. Please be sure to label all of your child's belongings.

Yellow School Bus Transportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2022-23 school year are created over the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

More information about 2022-23 transportation service levels and proposed fees are posted on the CBE website.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.

Learn more about transportation on the CBE website.
