Richmond School is a place where we come to work and learn together. We request that students dress appropriately for learning.

Footwear

We ask that all students have pairs of both indoor and outdoor shoes. Shoes should be worn at all times as we are expected to have monthly fire drills and to be prepared for emergencies. Please put your child’s name in both shoes.

Clothing 

We ask students to think about wearing appropriate clothing for learning. Please label all items of clothing as we try to return lost and found items to their owners. We will display the lost and found items at frequent intervals throughout the year, in the hallway beside the gym doors. Lost and Found items not claimed are donated to charity.

Warm Weather

Students should wear clothing that allows them to feel comfortable and safe at school. Students should not wear clothing that displays inappropriate language or gestures.

Cold Weather

Students need to come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Outdoor recess is held on all days except for days with extremely inclement weather. It is important that students have clothing that is warm and comfortable. Students should be able to put on, and take off, their outdoor clothing independently. Once inside the building outdoor hats and shoes are removed. 

Lost and Found
