I'm baaack! This is year 5 for me at Escuela Robert Warren. I am so incredibly excited to be back from maternity leave doing what I love the most. Robert Warren School is very dear to me. These past few years I have already seen the school go through many changes, and I may be just a little bit biased, but it continues to be a wonderful place to be and to learn! I get to work with dedicated and caring individuals everyday and I am surrounded by students who have curious minds and a zest for life. I also have the pleasure to watch my students succeed and grow while establishing positive relationships with them. It doesn't get much better than that!
It has been wonderful getting to know you all so far. Please check back often for announcements regarding my classes. I look forward to an incredible year together!

Spanish Language Arts
This week, after assessing some of your written work, it was necessary to do some serious review of regular verbs in the present tense. We will continue by reviewing irregular verbs in the present tense for the remainder of the week.
Also, if you have not yet handed in your assignment on "¿Que hiciste este verano?" please ensure to get it to me before the end of the week!

Today, we created accounts for Duolingo in the classroom. We will be using this as part of a choice listening activity for Cinco Semanales on Fridays. I will also be creating assignments and tracking their progress. Student's are always encouraged to practice at home too!

¡Buen trabajo, chicos! Good work, guys! Today, I returned your marked quizzes and many of you did exceptionally well. I will be inputting marks on Power School this weekend. Please make sure you have your quizzes with you on Monday, as we will review some common errors and make corrections. You have three more in-class days to finish your Gastronomia projects. Your presentations should be ready by next Monday, the 15th. If your group is still working on the research portion, I strongly suggest working on it over the weekend. My recommendation is to divide the remaining research questions amongst group members and to creating a google doc in order to facilitate collaboration. Gracias.

Hola chicos. We will be continuing with our novel study these next few weeks. Remember to complete your chapter questions, vocabulary, and summaries as we go. You will continue to have class time each day to work on these, but if you don't complete them in class, it should be homework. Hello! Leadership is
collecting donations for the "Magic of Christmas" this year. The "Magic of
Christmas" is a 100% volunteer, non-denominational charity based in
Calgary that uses Calgary Transit buses to deliver gifts, food hampers, and
money to hospitals, care facilities and over 650 families on Christmas
eve.
Our students
decided that they wanted to collect items for infants and children in need.
Gifts must be unwrapped and unused. We will be collecting items until Thursday,
Dec. 20 in homerooms. Thanks for your cooperation!
