Sra. Keen

Hola students and parents!

My name is Courtney Keen and I am very excited to be teaching humanities (6-1 & 6-2) and drama (7, 8, 9) this year. I am the Learning Leader for Mental Health and am very passionate about helping students develop strategies and support them with their mental health.
I am looking forward to working with all of you and I am excited to see what you will accomplish this year.

I grew up in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico and that is where I learned to speak Spanish and fell in love with Mexican culture. In university, I studied Drama and Spanish before my Education degree. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and I truly love what I do. I really enjoy reading and am very passionate about teaching reading, writing, and social studies.

Student assessment will be updated via PowerSchool, guardians and students can access this platform throughout the year to keep up-to-date with student progress and to access report cards at each term.

Assignments and lessons will also be posted & submitted regularly on Google classroom should students miss a class.

Please do not hesitate to email me at clkeen@cbe.ab.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

I am looking forward to a phenomenal year together.

-Sra. Courtney Keen
