Sra. Parkin

Dear parents and students,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Maria Parkin, and I will be your child’s teacher at Robert Warren Middle School. For many years I have been working with the CBE in various areas and divisions. Most recently my teaching assignments were in the Spanish Bilingual Program grades 7-9.

I was born and raised in the north of Argentina, in a city called Salta. I have traveled to many South American countries including Mexico, Peru, Bolivia and Chile. I have also been to other countries such as Thailand, where I had an amazing experience teaching young children.

My priority as a teacher is to meet each child’s potential, for I believe that each one is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment to grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Therefore, I make every effort to provide a safe classroom and motivate them towards a level of independence where they can develop their desire to learn and think for themselves. Teaching is my passion, so I try to put into my classroom the joy that I discovered while learning and teaching.

Courses that I teach:

Grade 7 Science- Grade 6 Spanish Language Arts Grade 6 Arts.

Course outlines course material are available in my Google Classroom.
