Monday

Welcome back to school! We are happy to see everyone learning in person again. It is our turn on the playground this week. Please be sure to send your child to school dressed appropriately for the weather and being outside in the colder temperatures and snow. We borrowed new library books today- as me about my book! We have new Word Work words this week.

Tuesday

We started reading The One and Only Ivan yesterday. Ask me about the character(s) and setting! Don't forget about Read With Me Club homework- some students have made it to the 100 Club already. It's never too late to start, and it's so important to be reading at home as well! Books on Raz-Kids can be used as well. :)

Wednesday

We had a guest teacher today. Ask me what we did!

Thursday

We are writing our own versions of the story, Tillie and the Wall. Ask me who the main character is in my story, and what the setting and problem is! Do you know how volcanoes and rocks are connected? Ask me about it!

Week of January 4- 8, 2021

We are learning online this week! Please have your child login to Google Classroom using their usual usernames and passwords. They will need access to their Mathletics and Raz- Kids accounts as well.

It is very important that your child checks in for attendance two times each day. In our Google Classroom, under the classwork tab and the current date, there will be a form for students to fill out at 8:00am and at 12:25pm. We are taking attendance like we would do if we were at school and will be entering it into Power School. Please contact myself, or the office, if your child will be absent and not able to participate in online learning.

We will also have two Google Meets each day. One at 9:30am and one at 1:30pm. These meetings will last about one hour, and sometimes a little longer. Please let me know if your child isn't able to attend any of our class meetings.

Please contact me at naandres@cbe.ab.ca if you have any questions or concerns. Happy Online Learning!
