Music looks a little different this year due to COVID restrictions BUT we're still having FUN!! Music takes place in homerooms and Ms. Butner comes to the students. We cannot sing nor blow into instruments BUT we can still make music by creating rhythms, using our bodies to clap, snap, pat and stamp the beat and rhythm.
Body Percussion activity - We go up to 1:15 in the video
We are also learning about the orchestra and its FOUR Families of Instruments: Strings, Woodwinds, Brass and Percussion.
Karen Meets the String Family
George Meets the Orchestra - An Introduction to the Orchestra for Children
We are listening to various pieces of instrumental music, writing and/or drawing what we imagine.
