If your child is late or unable to attend school due to illness, email the absence to ronsouthern@cbe.ab.ca or phone the absence line at 403-817-3576 ext. 5.

Punctuality and regular attendance is important to success at school. Students who arrive at school late are required to report to the school office before reporting to their classroom. Parents of children who are habitually late and/or absent will be contacted by administration.

Attendance Notifications

When students have not arrived at school in the morning or after lunch, and the office has not been notified in advance, parents are contacted to confirm the absence. 

If your child is going to be away from school or late arriving to school for any reason, email the school at ronsouthern@cbe.ab.ca before 8 AM. Please report the student’s name, including the spelling of your child’s last name, homeroom, the date and reason for the absence.
