Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Traffic Concerns

Families are encouraged to park directly in front of the school (West) in our future bus zone when walking students in to the school. Calgary Bylaw has issued verbal warnings to those parents who have parked too close to marked crosswalks and fire hydrants. They have notified us that they will be ticketing in future. All parking infractions in school zones are subject to a minimum $50 fine.

We would like to remind families that parking on the north side of the building is not permitted in the morning. It is a hug and go zone. Also, please help teach your child to cross the roads safely and use the marked crosswalks. U-turning in front of the school is not permitted. It is also important to remember that the parking lot is not for parent use and that families should walk behind the shed and garbage containers, then along the sidewalk to enter the front of the building. Please do not cut through the parking lot.
