Physical Education

Physical Education supports you in acquiring skills through a variety of developmentally appropriate movement activities. You will gain experience within various physical activities assisting you in further understanding health and wellness benefits, promoting positive interactions and leading an active lifestyle.

All Students at Rosedale School are expected to take part in daily physical education classes as required by the Alberta Program of Studies. Clothing suitable for athletic/physical activity is essential. Elementary students are expected to wear clean running shoes for activities in the gym. Grade 5, 6 and junior high school students are expected to change for each gym class.

Junior high students are strongly encouraged to purchase Rosedale gym strip - $12 for T-shirt, $12 for shorts.  Locked tote boxes are provided to students in grades 6 to 9 for storage of gym clothing and their regular clothing. Students need to bring their PE clothing home on a regular basis to be laundered. Students must present a note from a parent and/or doctor to be excused from physical education classes.
