Dear Saddle Ridge Families,
The staff at Saddle Ridge school have been working this past month to look at our school data and set School Development Plan goals for the school year. We are very pleased with our Annual School Results for the last school year. These results show a strong performance in all areas; however, we continue to improve and develop student achievement across the school. Our data has indicated that we need to continue to develop student writing and student well-being.
We are looking at students increasing achievement in the following areas:
- Student achievement in writing will continue to improve
- Students will continue to develop their sense of belonging and develop connections and build positive relationships.
During our Professional Days and Early Dismissal times, we are working as a staff to develop ways to engage our students in meeting these goals. Teachers are working in Professional Learning Communities where they analyze student work to ensure they are meeting the needs of all the learners in our building.
During the December 3 and 4th, parents have an opportunity to speak with teachers to discuss their child's learning and learning needs at our Student Learning Conferences. Parents are always invited to discuss student learning outside of conference times by contacting their child's teacher.
In January, teachers will continue to gather assessment data and write report cards. Report cards will be available online through PowerSchool beginning in February (we will communicate the exact date in January).

We are looking forward to continuing our great work with students this school year.
