QuickLinks

QuickLinks (QL) are tiles with a title, icon, and text that can be used as easy references to point users to any internal or external website, online document, or application. They appear on the websites in three places:

  • Home page (up to six QL, depending on template)
  • QuickLinks page (all QL shared with school)
  • Content pages (individual QL added)

Central QL Library

A central library of QuickLinks that may be of interest to multiple schools has been created and is managed by Communication Services. These QuickLinks:

  • Can be used by any school (on your QuickLinks page, home page, or content pages)
  • Can’t be modified by school users

If you have questions about the QL in this library, discover an error or a link that is no longer valid, or have an idea for a QL that could be useful to other schools, please contact School Web Support to let us know.

Local QL Library

In addition, schools can create their own custom QuickLinks and use them in their site just like QuickLinks from the Central Library. Custom QuickLinks are useful when:

  • You want to link to a resource that’s of interest to your school community, but wouldn’t be needed by other schools (like to your Community Association website)
  • You want a link going to a specific location in your website, like your teacher blogs or pages

QuickLinks that are created by users at each school are added to that school’s local library. These QuickLinks:

  •  Can’t be seen or used by other schools
  •  Can be added to content pages by any other users at that school
  •  Can be used and modified by any users at that school with Approver permissions
  •  Can be used or modified by Communications users
