Troubleshooting & FAQ

Cannot Edit a Calendar Event, but I Have Approver (Advanced Editing) Permissions

Approvers can only create new events, or modify events created by them or other editors at their school.

System-wide events that have been shared to your school will not display the gear icon to modify or delete them. Please email SchoolWebSupport with updates or changes to these items and we will correct them for you. We can also create items on your behalf that you are able to edit after as needed.

Cannot Edit a Post, but I Have Approver (Advanced Editing) Permissions

Approvers can only create new posts, or modify posts created by them or other editors at their school.

System-wide posts (stories) that have been shared to your school will not display the gear icon to modify or delete them. Please email SchoolWebSupport with updates or changes to these items and we will correct them for you. If we have created a post on your behalf (specific to your school) you should see the gear icon and be able to edit it.

I Don't See Any Tiles in SiteGovern

If you open SiteGovern and don't have tiles for Post, Event, or the other functions (like in the screenshot below), it means that you have Basic (Editor) permissions instead of Advanced (Approver) permissions.

Talk to your principal about your permissions. When you're set up as an Approver, you'll see the tiles you need.
