Student Services

School Learning Team (SLT)

The School Learning Team (SLT) provides assistance for students who have unique needs. The SLT is comprised of Student Support teachers, the principal or assistant principal, classroom teachers, and may also include CBE specialists, psychologists, strategists, counsellors, and other staff as necessary.

Referrals to the School Learning Team are usually initiated by the classroom teacher or parents. Parental involvement in the SLT process is encouraged. Parents will be notified before any student is referred to itinerant staff members. If parents have concerns about their child‟s progress, they may also speak to the classroom teacher
