BAND NEWS!

Key Dates:

  • Dec 12, 2019 Winter Arts Gala Night: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm. All grade 6 students, band students, and choir members.
  • Feb. 19-25, 2020 – AIBF festival for Grade 8/9 Band. It will be on one of those weekdays.
  • April, 15,16, 2020 – AIBF festival for Grade 7 Band. It will be on one of those two days
  • May 7th – Aberhart Concert. Grade 8/9 band will be performing
  • May. 12th, 2020 – Spring Concert

Grade 7 Band - Rehearsals: Every Tuesday 3-4 pm. All grade 7 band students MUST attend. Updates will appear here for dates where rehearsals will be cancelled.

Grade 8/9 Band - After School Practice Commitment Thursdays 3:00 - 4:00 pm. All Grade 8 & 9 band students must attend. 

Que Pasa – Sometime in May, once dates are confirmed, information will be posted.

Spring Concert - Grade 7 - 9 Band & Choir Spring Concert at the school will be held on in late May.

Elementary School Performances – Hopefully in the spring, the Grade 7 band will have the opportunity to tour through the elementary feeder school.

Grade 6 Music

Winter Concert Dec 12– Grade 7-9 Band, Grade 6 Choir, and SPB choir will perform at the school either in Early December or January.  Winter Concert Tickets Here

Mid to late June, Grade 6 will have the chance to have a brief and informal performance during lunch for anyone interested in attending.

Choir

All student who would like to sing are invited to join the SPB choir. The choir meets on Wednesdays, 3-4 pm. The choir will have the chance to sing in both the winter and spring concerts and has in the past sung at fundraising events.
