Dear Sibylla Kiddle School Families,
We hope you had an amazing summer and that you were able to spend time doing the things you enjoy with the people you love.
Like some of you, I was able to travel again this summer. The first day of a travelling is always exciting. You have likely planned for weeks. You might have some new clothes. You finally get to see the place you have longed to explore. The first day of school also feels like setting out on a new adventure. It has a mixture of excitement, nerves and possibilities. We have a sense of what adventures may be ahead of us but we don’t know for sure. Just like with travelling to a new place, things will take us by surprise. There will be stories to tell. There may be some obstacles to overcome and in the end, you will have learned some amazing things. As staff, we look forward to taking the journey with you and your child, over the year ahead. We can’t wait to see what learning adventures we will go on together.
We know the amount of information at the start of the year can feel overwhelming. However, we are asking that you please read all of the information we are sending. We don’t want you to miss important details.
It is our desire to publish weekly communication for families in a similar format to what you see here. It will have dates you need to know about for the week ahead, a few of the important upcoming dates in our calendar, often a brief reflection from myself and key news items you need to know about.
We are looking forward to seeing our students back on September 1.
